Abstract
International human
rights standards play a crucial role in shaping the provisions related to matrimonial
reliefs under personal laws in various countries. Matrimonial reliefs refer to
legal remedies available to individuals in cases of marriage-related issues,
such as divorce, separation, property distribution, child custody, and spousal
support. These standards are aimed at ensuring that individuals enjoy
fundamental human rights within the context of personal laws governing marriage
and family matters.
